Saturday, September 4th - Blues for Food Fest

Music. Food. Friends. Gardening. Labor Day weekend. They’re all available at the Blues for Food Fest!

The fourth annual Blues For Food Fest is an “all-day celebration of good food, good friends and good music”. This celebration features local blues bands as a fundraiser for the P-Patch Trust and the Washington Blues Society Musicians Relief Fund.

The event raises awareness about hunger and celebrates the P-Patch giving gardens that donate over 28,000 pounds of organic produce to food banks and meals programs each year.

The festival also features one of our favorite booths - “Beet Hunger”, where you can conveniently donate your homegrown produce! After the festival Lettuce Link will deliver donations to a local meals program or food bank.

2010 Chef in the Garden Dinner

**This event is sold out, please plan to join us next year.**

Tuesday, July 20
Interbay P-Patch: 2451 15th Ave West

Renowned Chef Tom Douglas is bringing his genius for magical menus to the P-Patch Trust’s Chef in the Garden event on Tuesday, July 20. The al fresco evening in the Interbay P-Patch will feature Tom as the guest chef, preparing an array of dishes that emphasize locally sourced, garden-fresh ingredients and innovative flavor combinations.

The menu includes appetizers of fava beans and ricotta with mint, and a green bean casserole tart; a first course of roasted beets and icicle radishes served with Dahlia Bakery bread; an entrée of New York steak with Chanterelle relish, and a grain mustard potato salad; and blueberry crisp with lemon verbena sherbet for dessert. Diners may opt for a vegetarian entrée: a summer vegetable crostada with Chevre cheese.

Each course will be paired with fine Northwest wines.

Hors d’oeurves and wine will be served beginning at 6 p.m., and guests are welcome to stroll through the extensive Interbay P-Patch – one of the city’s largest and most developed – with glass in hand. Dinner seating will be at 7 p.m.

The annual Chef in the Garden event, which is limited to 100 diners, is the Trust’s primary fund-raising effort. All-inclusive tickets for Chef in the Garden are $99. They can be purchased online beginning June 20 at Brown Paper Tickets, https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/117115 or in person at Brown Paper Ticket locations listed on the website.
